Apply nowPostdoctoral researcher - ”Hysteretic Deformable Mirrors for Future Space Telescopes”
The University of Groningen has one opening for a Postdoc position to work within the project ”Hysteretic Deformable Mirrors for Future Space Telescopes”. This is a multidisciplinary research project in collaboration between the Engineering and Technology Institute (ENTEG), the Space Research organization Netherlands (SRON) and the European Space Association (ESA). This project aims at developing high hysteretic piezoelectric actuators based on multi-layered thin films. We will focus on the nanofabrication steps of stacking piezoelectric films, electrode deposition, and the iteration/adhesion between electrodes and piezoelectric material. In addition, we will also explore the possibilities to improve the piezoelectric response at cryogenic temperatures.
