What are you going to do?
This role will cover a variety of teaching tasks, including – but not limited to – the teaching of Audiovisual Arts, Popular Music, and Arts Management. These will take place within the undergraduate BA in Arts, Culture, Media and its associated Masters Track in Popular Music and Sonic Cultures.
Who are you?
We are looking for candidates who have a strong understanding of the cultural sector, with a profound interest in theoretical applications of sociology, cultural theory to the study of Arts, Culture and Media.
Essential Criteria:
- A Research Masters in an appropriate arts discipline.
- Teaching Experience at Undergraduate level.
- Fluency in English (C1 level of the CEFR).
Preferable:
- A BKO and/or UTQ in Higher Education.
- A PhD in an appropriate arts discipline.
- Teaching experience at postgraduate level.
- A background in musicology.
- Competence in Dutch (to the level of B2).
Familiarity with the Dutch educational system is considered an asset.
What can you expect from us?
- In accordance with the collective labor agreement for Dutch universities, we offer a salary of at least € 3.706 up to a maximum of € 5.760 (schaal 10) gross per month for a full-time employment contract.
- 232 vacation hours per year, based on a 38-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). You can also work more or fewer hours in exchange for more or fewer free hours. For example, with a 40-hour workweek, you save 96 extra free hours, and with a 36-hour workweek, you lose 96 hours.
- End-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 8% holiday allowance.

- A temporary contract for a period of 12 months.
