What are you going to do?

As Project Lead CTL Development, you will play a key role in the further development of the newly established Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). You will work closely with the Head of SES & CTL and colleagues within and beyond the CTL to shape the direction, structure and way of working of the centre.

The CTL is in a formation phase. You will contribute to building the organisation together with the team, while helping to define priorities, collaboration structures and ways of working.

At the same time, the CTL will play an important role in the university’s participation in Npuls, a national programme funded by the Dutch National Growth Fund aimed at accelerating digitalisation and innovation in education. Within this programme, the University of Groningen is working on themes such as digital learning, educational innovation and the development and sharing of learning resources in collaboration with other institutions.

In this context, you will be responsible for the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the NPuls programme within the CTL. You will take ownership of planning, progress and results, while ensuring that activities are aligned with the objectives, deliverables and collaboration agreements as defined within the NPuls programme.

You will combine a development-oriented approach with a structured, project-based way of working. This means you will help shape the CTL while also ensuring that plans are translated into concrete actions, progress is monitored and results are delivered.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of SES & CTL, the Academic Lead and a to-be-appointed CTL Coordinator, who will be responsible for HR and tactical management. In this role, you will connect people, expertise and initiatives across faculties and services and contribute to a coherent and effective way of working within the CTL.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and positioning of the CTL in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acting as project lead for the CTL-related NPuls programme, ensuring timely and effective implementation of activities.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines and deliverables in line with the NPuls proposal.
  • Monitoring progress and deliverables, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Being responsible for reporting towards NPuls, including progress reporting and accountability.
  • Contributing to and monitoring budget management related to CTL activities.
  • Coordinating communication about CTL developments and NPuls activities within the organisation.
  • Supporting the development of collaboration structures, processes and ways of working within the CTL.
  • Facilitating collaboration across faculties, services and external partners.

Who are you?

You are a proactive and result-oriented professional who enjoys working in a developing organisation. You combine a structured, project-based approach with the ability to navigate uncertainty and bring people along in change.

You have or would describe yourself:

  • You have an academic level of working and thinking (Master’s degree or equivalent).
  • You have experience with project management or programme coordination, preferably in a complex organisational environment.
  • You have experience with organisational development, innovation processes and/or change trajectories.
